On February 28, 2026, a powerful movement unfolded in our city as hundreds of volunteers gathered to take part in a citywide cleanup initiative. This remarkable event aimed at making our urban spaces cleaner, greener, and more livable for all. The cleanup, which focused especially on the downtown area, brought together citizens, community leaders, and organizations for a day of action and change.

The event wasn’t just about picking up trash – it was about planting the seeds of hope and environmental responsibility. People rolled up their sleeves and worked together to plant trees and grass, transforming barren spaces into lush green areas that would contribute to a healthier and more sustainable environment. Volunteers from all walks of life, including local residents, environmental activists, and students, united with one common goal: to make the city a better place for everyone.

One of the standout contributors to the success of the day was the partnership with the Nabugabo Updeal Joint Venture. Their support helped make the initiative a success by providing the necessary resources and expertise. Additionally, the presence of Miss Uganda Uganda, Trivia Elle Muhoza, who joined the efforts, added a star-studded touch to the occasion, inspiring many to join in and make a difference.

The cleanup event wasn’t just a one-off action; it marked a turning point in the city’s ongoing efforts to prioritize cleanliness, environmental conservation, and sustainable development. By working together, the community demonstrated that collective action can drive positive change. This initiative sent a strong message to everyone that each of us has a role to play in maintaining a livable city.As the volunteers worked side by side, the streets slowly began to look different – not just in appearance but in the spirit of unity and care for the environment.

The message was clear: a clean, green city is not just a dream; it is something we can build together. This event serves as a reminder of the power of community collaboration and what we can accomplish when we come together to protect and preserve the world around us.

Let this be the beginning of many more initiatives that focus on making our city a place that everyone can enjoy, whether they’re residents or visitors. Through our collective efforts, we are shaping a brighter, greener future for the generations to come. #ForALivableCity
