Stanbic Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to improving communities by joining the launch of this year’s 21 Days of Yello Care corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign, an initiative that focuses on promoting safe motherhood and expanding access to quality healthcare across Uganda.
The campaign, which will run for the next 21 days, brings together MTN Uganda, Stanbic Bank and several other partners to support communities through activities aimed at improving maternal health services. This year’s initiative is being implemented under the Safe Motherhood umbrella and carries the theme, “Expand Equitable Health for Every Community.”
Speaking during the launch, Stanbic Bank Executive Director and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, Paul Muganwa, said the bank is proud to be part of the important cause. He noted that Stanbic values partnerships with organisations that are committed to creating sustainable community impact and promoting inclusive growth across the country.
Muganwa said meaningful partnerships can help improve the lives of many Ugandans, especially mothers and children who continue to face challenges in accessing quality healthcare. He added that working together with like-minded partners creates a stronger foundation for lasting development.
The 21 Days of Yello Care campaign is expected to involve a series of community activities over the coming weeks. Through these efforts, the partners aim to strengthen healthcare services, raise awareness about safe motherhood and support initiatives that improve the wellbeing of families.
The organisers believe that every mother deserves access to safe and quality healthcare regardless of where she lives. They say expanding equitable health services is essential for reducing preventable maternal and child deaths while building healthier communities.
Stanbic Bank said its participation reflects its wider commitment to investing in projects that create long-term social and economic benefits. The bank believes that supporting healthcare, education and community development is key to achieving inclusive growth.
As the 21-day campaign gets underway, the participating organisations have called on communities, institutions and other stakeholders to join hands in supporting the Safe Motherhood initiative. They believe that collective action will help create lasting change and ensure that more families have access to better healthcare services.
