Singer King Saha’s much-anticipated Tondeka E Kololo Festival is facing uncertainty just days before the event, with questions emerging over whether the concert will proceed at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds as scheduled. The festival is slated for Friday, August 14, 2026, and has attracted significant attention from Saha’s fans and Uganda’s entertainment fraternity, but reports about activities planned at the same venue have now cast a shadow over the show.
Sources indicate that Kololo is expected to host a practice session for the CDF Interforces Drills, raising concerns about possible clashes between the military preparations and the singer’s planned concert. While there has been no official confirmation that the concert has been cancelled, the reported venue arrangements have left organisers and fans waiting for clear communication on whether the event will go ahead as planned. The situation has also fuelled political speculation, with some analysts pointing to Saha’s close association with opposition National Unity Platform leader Bobi Wine as one of the factors being discussed in connection with the uncertainty surrounding the concert. The latest development comes against the backdrop of previous high-profile events at Kololo, a venue frequently used for major national functions, political gatherings and entertainment events.Recently, singer Ray G held his concert at the same grounds, despite a planned meeting between Members of Parliament and President Yoweri Museveni on the same day.
The presidential meeting was subsequently relocated to Munyonyo. As August 14 approaches, attention is now turning to the organisers and authorities for clarification on the status of the Tondeka E Kololo Festival and whether the reported military activities will have any impact on the concert. For now, Saha’s fans remain eager for answers, with the big question being whether the singer will take the Kololo stage on Friday as advertised or whether last-minute changes will force the highly anticipated festival to find a new arrangement.
