The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has brought its experience in aviation technology and innovation to the 10th National Conference on Communication at Makerere University. The two-day conference, running from September 24 to 25, has attracted professionals and experts from different fields to share ideas on how communication and technology can address emerging challenges and improve service delivery.
Representing UCAA, staff from the Authority have presented two papers focusing on technological innovations being applied to strengthen Uganda’s aviation sector. The papers highlight the growing role of technology in improving aviation safety, particularly in an industry where reliable systems and accurate communication are critical to daily operations.
The UCAA presentations also explored how technological solutions can contribute to greater efficiency, helping aviation stakeholders improve processes and deliver services more effectively.Beyond efficiency, the innovations presented are aimed at strengthening the reliability of Uganda’s aviation systems and supporting the continued development of a modern aviation industry.
UCAA’s participation at the conference has also provided an opportunity for the Authority to exchange knowledge with researchers, academics and other professionals while showcasing some of the work being done within Uganda’s aviation sector. The engagement demonstrates the importance of innovation and knowledge-sharing in advancing aviation, as UCAA continues to embrace technology as a key tool for promoting safer, more efficient and reliable air transport in Uganda.
