The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has brought its business registration services closer to entrepreneurs in Katwe, Kitintale and Patongo through a special mass registration exercise aimed at helping businesses become formally registered. The initiative is targeting both established business owners and people who have business ideas but have not yet registered their enterprises.
URSB officials are available at the selected locations to guide applicants, answer their questions and help them understand the registration process. In Katwe, the registration clinic is being conducted at Pride Bank, Katwe Branch. The exercise started on Monday, September 28 and will run up to Saturday, October 3, 2026, with services available from 8:00am to 5:00pm each day.
Business owners in Kitintale can access the services at the market, opposite Centre Plaza along Luzira Road. The clinic started on September 28 and will continue until Friday, October 9, giving entrepreneurs in the area more time to visit the URSB team and register their businesses. In Patongo, the URSB team is operating from Bank of Africa Patongo Branch. The clinic runs from September 28 to October 2, 2026, with residents encouraged to take advantage of the exercise and access registration services within their community.
URSB is encouraging entrepreneurs to formalise their businesses because registration can help them access funding opportunities, compete for major contracts and supply goods and services to organisations that require registered businesses. The exercise is being conducted under the message “Kiri Easy – Register Your Business Today!” and is part of efforts to make business registration more accessible to people in different communities. Entrepreneurs with questions about the process can visit the URSB teams at the designated locations for assistance.
