The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has been recognized for its continued support toward community outreach activities. On Tuesday, 17th February 2026, UCAA received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Uptown Kampala Rotary Club. The award was presented in recognition of the Authority’s generous support to the club during the financial year 2025/26.

The certificate was officially handed over by the Rotary District Governor, Geoffrey Martin Kitakule. The event was witnessed by the President of the Rotary Uptown Club, Immaculate Nakyeyune. On behalf of UCAA, the Principal Public Affairs Officer, Kenneth Otim, proudly received the certificate. The moment highlighted the strong relationship between UCAA and the Rotary Club, built on shared values of service and community development.

This recognition came shortly after UCAA hosted members of the Rotary Club for a vocational tour on Friday, 13th February 2026. During the visit, the Rotarians were guided through the departure and arrival procedures at Entebbe International Airport. The tour gave them a clear understanding of how airport operations are managed to ensure safety, efficiency, and comfort for travelers.

The visitors also had the opportunity to tour the newly completed passenger terminal at the airport. The modern facility is designed to support smooth passenger movement and improve the overall travel experience. Members of the Rotary Club expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and the detailed explanations provided by the UCAA team.

The partnership between UCAA and the Uptown Kampala Rotary Club reflects a shared commitment to community service and national development. By supporting outreach programs and opening its doors for learning visits, UCAA continues to show that it is not only focused on aviation safety but also on building strong community relationships. This recognition serves as encouragement for even greater collaboration in the future.
