The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has confirmed its participation as a Silver Sponsor for the 101st Rotary District Conference (DISCON 101), reaffirming its growing role in supporting collaborative development and service-driven initiatives.
The conference is expected to bring together key Rotary stakeholders from across the region and will be hosted from April 16 to 18, 2026, at the Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe.
DISCON 101 serves as a significant prelude to the 7th All Africa Rotary Zone 22 Institute, a major continental forum scheduled for September 29 to October 3, 2026, at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, under the theme “Africa Rising, Grow to Serve.”
According to UCAA’s Principal Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Kenneth Otim, the sponsorship aligns with the Authority’s long-term strategy of fostering strong institutional partnerships while advancing Corporate Social Responsibility.
He made these remarks during an engagement held at Fountain Palace & Suites, where UCAA highlighted its commitment to initiatives that connect public institutions with community service organizations.
UCAA further emphasized its ongoing collaboration with Rotary movements, including a vocational engagement where it hosted the Rotary Club of Kampala Uptown in January 2026, reflecting its openness to knowledge-sharing and professional exchange.
These partnerships continue to position UCAA as an active contributor to platforms that encourage leadership development, regional cooperation, and sustainable community impact.
As anticipation builds for both DISCON 101 and the upcoming continental institute, the collaboration between UCAA and Rotary signals a shared commitment to advancing service, unity, and development across Africa.
