The initiative brought together key players in the aviation industry, including Uganda Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways, giving students an opportunity to interact with professionals and gain a deeper understanding of careers in aviation.During the engagement, students were introduced to various career paths within the sector, including piloting, air traffic control, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cabin crew, airport operations, aviation management and other specialised professions. The aviation professionals also encouraged the students to begin preparing early for their desired careers by focusing on academic excellence, discipline, communication skills and developing a strong interest in science and technology. The session gave learners an opportunity to ask questions and receive firsthand guidance from people working in the aviation industry, helping them understand the qualifications, training and commitment required to build successful careers.

Trellis International Christian School Principal, Ms. Apoo Sharon, applauded UCAA and all the participating aviation institutions for supporting the initiative, saying the engagement marked an important beginning for students interested in pursuing aviation careers.Ms. Sharon said the launch of the Aviation Society would provide a platform for students to continuously learn about the aviation industry and connect their classroom education with future career opportunities, with hopes that many of them will eventually join the aviation profession.
