The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has reaffirmed its commitment to community wellbeing after its team joined the Entebbe Corridor Rotary Clubs for the annual Cancer Run on Sunday, August 30, 2026.The event brought together runners, community members, organisations and other well-wishers who gathered at Mayor’s Gardens in Entebbe before taking part in the campaign aimed at raising awareness and supporting efforts in the fight against cancer.
UCAA’s participation highlighted the Authority’s broader commitment to causes that go beyond aviation and contribute directly to the wellbeing and development of communities.By taking part in the run, UCAA staff joined thousands of people across Uganda who continue to use the Cancer Run as a platform to promote cancer awareness, encourage community solidarity and support initiatives addressing the impact of the disease. The Authority has maintained a strong working relationship with the Entebbe Corridor Rotary Clubs, partnering on a number of Rotary-led activities designed to improve lives and contribute to community development.
That partnership has created opportunities for UCAA to participate in initiatives focused on social wellbeing, community support and causes that have a meaningful impact on people living around the Entebbe corridor.UCAA said it was pleased to once again stand alongside the Rotary Clubs in supporting the fight against cancer, while reaffirming its willingness to contribute to other initiatives that address important community needs. The Cancer Run therefore served not only as a fundraising and awareness activity but also as a demonstration of what can be achieved when institutions, community organisations and individuals unite behind a common cause.
