On 1st March 2026, the Uganda Wildlife Authority will host a marathon that combines fitness, compassion, and entertainment. The goal of this event is clear: to raise funds that will support the education of children whose parents, brave wildlife rangers, died while on duty.
These rangers played a critical role in protecting Uganda’s wildlife heritage. They guarded national parks and wild animals with courage and dedication. Through this marathon, the Uganda Wildlife Authority is ensuring that their sacrifice is not forgotten. The funds raised will help provide school fees and educational support to their children.
Participants can purchase running kits at only 50,000/= from the Uganda Wildlife Authority main office. After the race, runners and supporters are invited to stay for the lively Wildlife Concert. It will be a time of celebration, music, and togetherness.
This event offers everyone a chance to be part of something meaningful. By running and staying for the concert, you show love for wildlife and compassion for the families of fallen heroes. Mark the date, prepare your kit, and join the Uganda Wildlife Authority in making a lasting impact.
