The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) has announced a major transformation of its online business registration services with the rebranding of the Online Business Registration System (OBRS) to the E-Registry.The new platform is part of URSB’s wider efforts to modernise its services and make it easier for members of the public to access business registration and other related services through digital platforms.URSB said the upgraded system has been aligned with registration forms provided for under Uganda’s revised laws, ensuring that users can access services based on the country’s updated legal and regulatory framework.
The Bureau explained that the development is intended to create a more integrated system where users can conveniently access registration services through a single digital platform, reducing the challenges associated with traditional registration processes.The move is also expected to improve efficiency for individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses seeking to register or manage their affairs through URSB, while providing a more user-friendly experience.Members of the public have been urged to embrace the new system and access registration services through the URSB E-Registry at
