The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) participated in the National Youth Leaders Conference organised by the National Planning Authority (NPA) on September 17–18, 2026, at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala, bringing government business registration services closer to young leaders from across the country.

The conference brought together youth leaders to discuss and learn more about government services, opportunities and programmes available to support young people in Uganda. The gathering provided an important platform for young people to connect with institutions responsible for providing services that can help them turn their ideas into sustainable ventures.URSB used the conference to engage directly with the youth and explain the importance of formalising businesses and other enterprises.

The team guided participants on the available registration services and how young people can benefit from having their businesses and organisations formally registered.Throughout the two-day event, URSB staff provided one-on-one registration and guidance to participants who wanted to understand the registration process. The personalised support allowed young leaders to ask questions, receive clarification and get practical guidance based on their individual needs. For many young people, access to information can be an important first step towards starting and growing a business.

By taking its services directly to a youth-focused conference, URSB created an opportunity for participants to learn how formal registration can support their business activities and development. The engagement also highlighted the role government institutions can play in helping young people navigate public services. Instead of waiting for potential clients to visit its offices, URSB brought its expertise closer to young leaders and offered direct assistance during the conference.

The National Youth Leaders Conference therefore served not only as a platform for discussion, but also as an opportunity for young people to access practical government services. Through its participation, URSB contributed to efforts aimed at ensuring that youth leaders are better informed about opportunities and services available to them.As Uganda continues to encourage young people to participate in entrepreneurship and national development, access to reliable information and registration services remains important. URSB’s participation at the conference gave youth leaders an opportunity to better understand the services available to them and take steps towards formalising their ventures.
